Julie M Straw
 

As a native born Nevadan, Julie spent her childhood years in Cheyenne, Wyoming before returning to the Reno/Sparks area which she now calls home. She attended local schools, graduating with honors from Sparks High School in 1975 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1979. In 1978, she married Mike Straw and is the extremely proud mother of two sons, Anthony and Toby. Julie passed the CPA exam and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1982. Having enjoyed a career in public and private accounting, Julie opened her own CPA office in 2002 in Reno, Nevada. Julie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Society of Accountants, Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants and Sierra Nevada Church of Christ.
